Continue north, to Savudrija, to the safe harbor will bring you the oldest lighthouse. Rest in Mandrač, typical Istrian port. Here on the coast, fishermen repairing their nets, each of them in their thoughts about past times. On their faces are deeply embedded memories of wind and sea, salt and storms. Sit next to them, and listen to tales of the sea along with a glass of homemade pilchard and Malvasia. Towns and homes doors here are always open.
